Glow Sticks

Glow sticks!  We love glow sticks in this house.  I buy packs by the dozens at our local dollar store.  I always have them on hand, especially during summer months when our gatherings often end after dusk around the fire pit.  Glow sticks not only provide entertainment for the children during these get-togethers, but many adults often end up with a necklace or two as well 😉  There’s just something about these mesmerizing little things that bring out the kid in all of us.  Continue reading “Glow Sticks”

Plus, who has the room to store all those throw pillows when they aren’t in use?? My suggestion…. Continue reading “No Sew Holiday Pillows”

Foyer Makeover

Our foyer was in desperate need of a makeover. It was decorated for some occasion or another and when it was over and decorations were taken down, I was left with the sad entryway pictured in the “before” photo.  I couldn’t even remember what I had displayed previously, so I knew it wasn’t worth putting back!  I wanted a quick and inexpensive fix that would spice it up a little. I looked around the house and Pinterest for inspiration and decided on lots of blue and white pieces (since I already had some) with a pop of color.  But first, my antique dresser needed a little TLC.
