About

“Turn at the barn and cross over the one lane bridge”. Each time I say this when directing someone to my home I still think, “Seriously”? But, if your life is anything like mine, it takes funny little twists and turns and where you end up may not be the place you had envisioned.

I went from being single in busy suburbia with a corporate job, full social calendar and visions of Big Apple living; to being a married, stay at home mom who had no idea how I was supposed to make friends when I couldn’t even see our neighbor’s home from the new front door.

I now love my little slice of the mountain. The sound of the flowing brook lulls me to sleep and I can drink my morning coffee while watching nature from my front porch (catch me during a brutal northeast winter and I will be singing a very different tune).

Really, I am a mother, wife and a try to do-it-aller. I am a Pinterest stalker and a Craigslist peruser.  I am a lover of travel, themed parties, garage sales and good food. I love saving money and have a difficult time paying anyone to do something that can be done myself. I prefer to save around the house so that I can spend it on travel …and maybe a designer bag here and there 😉  Paint is my best friend and I’m always amazed how far a quick coat can go.  I love to cook, but I hate to clean.
